Almost antique (1924) children's hard-cover book entitled Karl Jansen's Find written by M.E. Ropes and published in the United Kingdom by Unwin Brothers/Gresham Press, sponsored by the Religious Tract Society (RTS). The Religious Tract Society was a Christian organization founded in 1799 operating from 56 Paternoster Row, 65 St. Paul's Chuchyard and 164 Piccadilly London England. The RTS, the organization's acronym, was a major British publisher of Christian literature aimed at children, women, and the poor. The RTS operated as such until 1935, when the organization merged with the Christian Literature Society for India and Africa to form the United Society for Christian Literature (USCL).
This book, Karl Jansen's Find is part of the Bright Books for Boys and Girls series.
OVERALL CONDITION: This book is in VERY GOOD vintage condition and is complete, with all pages here. Spine and binding are in good order with NO! pages breaking away from the spine. There is some wear to the green hard cover, but nothing too dramatic, especially given the age of the book. There is NO! visible foxing to interior pages and the text is still bright and fully legible. There is some fading to the green on the top-left of the back cover that appears to be light water damage (please refer to photo 5) but all in all, this antique book is in very good order.
On the inside front cover there is the name written in PENCIL "Lawrence Doie" and a dedication, also written in PENCIL dated 1924 saying "Lawrence Doie from UM (United Mennonite) Sunday School, Wionall" (please refer to photo 2 specifically).
Book is complete at 128 pages with no dust jacket.
